NEW YORK, August 19, 2025 – Heavyocity Media proudly introduces Ostinato Textures, an evocative virtual instrument that merges the intimacy of solo strings with the award-winning sound design of Heavyocity. Capturing the intricate ostinato performances of solo violin, viola and cello, Ostinato Textures delivers the nuance and phrasing of a live player while infusing motion and emotion into modern scores. With 20 multi-sampled, unique articulations per instrument and over 140 hybrid presets, this instrument invites composers to add delicately intimate figures and evolving rhythmic textures to their music.
Recorded at Heavyocity Studios using state‑of‑the‑art microphones and preamps, Ostinato Textures offers a spectrum of rhythmic performances—from simple to complex, straight to triplet—that ebb and flow with grace and elegance. Each sample captures the clarity and intimacy of the solo string, providing the building blocks of rhythm and movement.
At the heart of the instrument is the Ostinato Texture Designer, which blurs the line between organic performance and cinematic sound design. Composers can layer and blend up to three articulations to craft their own textures or explore the inspiring library of 140 presets. For even greater control, the individual Ostinato Texture Instruments allows users to keyswitch between eight tempo‑synced articulations, load one of 12 preset patterns with articulation and mix presets, or build custom patterns by selecting their preferred articulations from a drop‑down menu.
