ISOVOX’s ISOPLUG™ focuses only on voice and is packed with the tools needed to enable perfect processing of voice recording, including EQ (BASS, BODY, and SPARKLE), MUD REMOVER, COMPRESSOR, DE-ESSER, CHARACTER, LIMITER, and REVERB via an all-in-one view for easy access, accompanied by an equally easily accessible Preset Browser with powerful presets — with convenient VOCALS, VOICE OVER, AUDIOBOOK, PODCAST, MOVIE TRAILER, and EFFECTS groupings — to assist newbies with speedily getting an appropriate sound or, alternatively, acting as a jumping off point for more experienced users seeking to tweak to their hearts’ (and ears’) content. And, of course, there is no need to buy multiple plug-ins with overly complicated menus and then have to jump around between them, trying to achieve perfect processing of voice recording.
As a 64-bit-only AU-, VST-, and VST3-compatible plug-in for macOS (10.13 through to 12) with full Apple Silicon support and 32- and 64-bit VST- and VST3-compatible plug-in for Windows (10 and 11), ISOPLUG™ works well with any voice recording equipment and all major mixing software, but is at its absolute best when working with ISOVOX’s ISOVOX® 2 vocal booth (that instantly found favor with the likes of multi-million-selling British singer-songwriter Seal) and accompanying ISOMIC™ (that is, itself, technically tailored for voice recording and capable of delivering a radio-ready sound with an ear-opening 7 Hz to 87 kHz frequency range thanks to its trailblazing patented triangular capsule), creating a complete voice recording signal chain with a guaranteed professional sound as a one-stop-shop solution that is in a class by itself.

About Spitfire Audio (www.spitfireaudio.com)
Spitfire Audio is a British music technology company that specializes in sounds — sample libraries, virtual instruments, and other useful software devices. It collaborates with the best composers, artists, and engineers in the world to build musical tools that sound great and are exciting to use.
Spitfire Audio was founded by two award-winning composers: Christian Henson and Paul Thomson. Born out of their shared dissatisfaction with string sample libraries, they pooled their resources and decided to record their own string samples at the legendary Air Studios in London. Initially, they invited a limited number of friends and associates to own copies of their samples, but whispers of this private sample club soon started to echo across the Atlantic Ocean throughout the composer community. Within a year, some of the most renowned composers in film and television signed up, so Paul and Christian decided to take their samples public.
To date, Spitfire Audio has recorded and released over 100 sample libraries, collaborating with some of the biggest names in media composition, including Hans Zimmer, Eric Whitacre, Ólafur Arnalds & the London Contemporary Orchestra. Spitfire Audio has worked closely with one of the world’s most renowned orchestras, BBC Symphony Orchestra, as well as partnered with the legendary Abbey Road Studios to create sample libraries in the iconic Studio One – considered one of the finest acoustical spaces in the world – and the famous Studio Two. Spitfire Audio’s sounds are heard in everything, from major Hollywood film scores to recordings by Radiohead and U2.
Paul and Christian’s initial side project is now a thriving international music technology enterprise, with a uniquely experienced and diverse workforce, all focused on a shared mission: to inspire a generation of composers. The composer team remains at the center of the business, drawing on their own experience as obsessive music makers to explore the needs and wants of their fellow composers.

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS, USA: Black Lion Audio is proud to announce the availability of its Auteur DT — designed as a robustly-built, versatile preamp/DI box to suit anyone’s single-channel recording needs by bringing Black Lion Audio’s acclaimed Chicago-style solid-state console detail, warmth, and dimension to the desktop, with anything plugged into it simply sounding better coming out of it — as of November 16…
Thanks to the front panel-positioned large, easy-grip control knob putting 60dB of Chicago console-style gain within easy reach alongside a 1/4” input, together with a rear-panel-positioned XLR MIC INPUT, Auteur DT will accurately capture and enhance anything anyone throws at it — from the crackling snap of a well-tuned snare to the thunder, resonance, and decay of a Seventies acrylic kick drum getting hit hard! How about adding heat and texture to synths and mix-penetrating presence to vocals? It is fair to say that anything anyone plugs into Auteur DT will simply sound better coming out of it. Effectively existing to capture every bit of sweat equity that goes into making its user’s recordings what they deserve to be should surely come as little surprise since bringing out the fully polished potential of the final product provides inspiration for everything Black Lion Audio makes.
More than just a preamp, Auteur DT does not care what its user plays — be it electric guitar, bass, baritone, viola, or whatever — as anything plugged into it sounds weighty, detailed, harmonically rich, and, above all, clean. Clearly, there is not a better single-channel preamp/DI box in its price class — certainly not one that does not look like it was component-sourced via a dumpster dive behind an antique radio museum! Musically, Auteur DT dutifully respects every ingredient of its user’s tonal recipe — their technique, string gauge, fingerboard choice, and especially those pickups they paid too much for!
The tough-as-nails brushed black aluminum chassis bookended by organic, vintage-style varnished maple side panels are indicative of Auteur DT being sturdily built for comfort, usability, and lasting performance — and also looking like it should cost twice what it does. It is, of course, what is on the inside that counts — and Auteur DT does not disappoint in that regard, being built around a robust US-made transformer combined with cherry-picked Nichicon and Vishay capacitors to ensure premium sound quality, long life, and low noise.
Needless to say, Auteur DT has been duly designed to exceed every expectation, with a back-lit classic-style VU (Volume Unit) meter and positive-locking LED (Light Emitting Diode) indicator — 48V (phantom power), Ø (phase inversion), PAD, and HI-Z toggle — buttons combining with that Chicago console-style gain, XLR MIC INPUT, 1/4” Hi-Z (Instrument) input, and a 1/4” TRS OUT (BALANCED) to deliver a knockout desktop device… a welter-weight preamp/DI box with the sting of a heavyweight contender, in other words!
Auteur DT is available to purchase through Black Lion Audio’s growing global network of dealers/distributors (https://www.blacklionaudio.com/dealers) with a MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) of $259.00 USD and an SSP (Suggested Selling Price) of €259.00 EUR (excluding VAT).

ERFURT, THURINGIA, GERMANY: beautifully-designed vintage gear emulation plug-ins producer Black Rooster Audio is proud to announce the availability of its TD-201 plug-in as a virtual take on vintage tape echo — effectively bringing the unmistakable sound of an analog classic into the 21st century as an in-the-box tape delay, delivering the sought-after vintage character of the increasingly-inaccessible hardware concerned in an easy-to-use reimagining that offers countless customization options for maximum usability — as of October 14…
History has it that the fertile Fifties’ revolution in music production — personified by engineers, musicians, and producers busying themselves with laying the foundations for modern-day workflow with countless technical innovations introduced, including guitar amps and electric organs, as well as an abundance of studio effects — brought with it the advent of electronic reverberation and delay units. Unsurprisingly, early-day tape delays such as the US-designed Echoplex or its British-built Watkins/WEM Copicat counterpart — effectively setting the Sixties standard for the effect between them — had a history of being technically unreliable and prone to damage when transported, yet their sound was so captivating that further attempts inevitably ensued. Enter Japanese engineer Ikutaro Kakehashi and major organ manufacturer Hammond — the former having already struck up a lucrative partnership with the latter by manufacturing a small rhythm box called the Ace Tone Rhythm Ace (itself intended to fit neatly atop a Hammond organ) — who had started experimenting with multi-head tape echoes. It is no surprise, therefore, that one such design — featuring a free-floating ¼-inch tape and spring reverb housed in a rock-solid tape chamber — proved to be better suited to touring, more stable and reliable than anything on the market at the time. The resulting Roland RE-201 Space Echo became a best-seller for the Japanese company that became a household name in the industry, further evolving into a range of delay effects that are still extensively used in music productions and sound design today. That distinctive delay sound has remained sought after since the RE-201’s revolutionary arrival on the scene in 1974.
Needless to say, there is nothing like the sound of a legendary vintage unit as far as many tape delay aficionados are concerned, yet many still struggle with their unpredictability — not to mention that they can be time-consuming to use and are increasingly inaccessible as the years roll by. But press fast-forward to today, as it were, and this is exactly why Black Rooster Audio has designed its TD-201 plug-in as a virtual take on vintage tape echo — effectively bringing the unmistakable sound of an analog classic into the 21st century as an in-the-box tape delay, delivering the sought-after vintage character of the increasingly-inaccessible hardware concerned in an easy-to-use reimagining that offers countless customization options for maximum usability. Unpredictability inherent in — and time-consuming usage of — such vintage hardware has, however, been banished to the history books by TD-201!
Countless customization options on offer to TD-201 users ultimately come down to the flexible feature set, starting with its implementation of a complex multi-head MODE SELECTOR that allows for seamless transitioning between the playback heads so that they can quickly dial in their perfect room setup, effortlessly mixing reverberation and delay — just like when working with the vintage original. Further fine-tuning the perfect echo is perfectly possible by adjusting the depth (POS), volume (VOL), and
stereo position (PAN) per playback head in the lower panel — nine parameters allowing for surgical-level precision in the workflow. Speedily synchronize TD-201’s tape speed to the track tempo with the SYNC control; when using this feature, the echo will also follow the impulse initiated by the TAP button. Those that wish to go ‘full-vintage’ are encouraged to play around with a range of fine-tuning parameters providing control over NOISE, DROPOUTS, HEADROOM, FLUTTER, and MOTOR — all of which are hardware machine attributes — to dial in some randomness to make the echo sound even more authentic. Adjustable gain-staging provides TD-201 users with the ability to control both the pre-processing input gain level and the post-processing output gain level.
DSP (Digital Signal Processing) operations are pipelined using the latest Apple Silicon and SSE2 (Streaming SIMD Extensions 2) instruction sets to ensure that the TD-201 vintage tape echo plug-in benefits from a high-performance operation — despite its very complex computations. Clearly, the GUI (Graphical User Interface) supports high-pixel density on both macOS and Windows systems, providing users of whatever persuasion with the most enjoyable experience, visually, on high DPI (Dots Per Inch) displays.
Duly delivering the character of an increasingly-inaccessible hardware device that continues to make musical history but bypasses its inherent unpredictability and time-consuming usage in favor of countless customization options for maximum usability in an easy-to-use reimagining that effortlessly switches between old-school ping-pong to a deep space odyssey and everything in between, Black Rooster Audio’s TD-201 is surely a must-have for anyone seeking that distinctive delay sound that has remained so sought after since Roland’s revolutionary RE-201 arrived on the scene back in 1974 — albeit available from the comfort of their desktop (or laptop) as a virtual take on vintage tape echo, effectively bringing the unmistakable sound of an analog classic into the 21st century as an in-the-box tape delay. Indeed, it is all anyone ever wanted from a tape delay!
TD-201 is available to purchase for a time-limited introductory promo price of only $29.00 USD — rising thereafter to its regular price of $99.00 USD — as a 64-bit AAX-, AU-, and VST-compatible plug-in for macOS (10.9 or later) and AAX- and VST-compatible plug-ins for Windows (7 or later) directly from Black Rooster Audio via its dedicated webpage, which also includes in-depth information (including some superb-sounding audio demos), here: https://blackroosteraudio.com/en/landing/td-201
14-day, fully-functional trial versions of all Black Rooster Audio plug-ins — including TD-201 — are available by signing up for an account here: https://blackroosteraudio.com/en/myaccount/licensemanager (The new License Manager uses a simple serial number-based activation system.)

Exploring alternative and experimental sounds of synths, drums and saxophonesalong with delivering a classic Italian synth for Syntronik

November 10, 2022 – IK Multimedia releases eight new Sound Libraries for SampleTank featuring experimental and alternative sounds. Of the eight individual libraries, five are also bundled together as Mojo Synthesis, a collection developed and produced by IK’s Erik Norlander. The three other libraries being released feature experimental saxophone sounds, an innovative and hybrid drum kit, and a new synth for Syntronik, based on the famous Elka Synthex.
SampleTank Squared Promo
To coincide with all of these new releases for SampleTank, IK is launching a promotion today called SampleTank Squared that offers a way to earn up to 64 SampleTank and Syntronik titles for FREE. Please see the Special Pricing section below for details.
A Cinematic Synth Collection
Mojo Synthesis combines five of the new SampleTank sound libraries, each created by Erik Norlander using advanced and experimental techniques on his personal collection of vintage synthesizers. The results are astonishing new synth sounds that can’t be found anywhere else, not even in Syntronik. Also sold separately, the five included libraries are as follows:
Alien Harbours delivers a cinematic collection of atmospheres, pads, and sweeps created using elaborate full patch samples from the Oberheim Matrix12, Sequential Prophet-VS and Prophet-5, Waldorf Microwave I Rev A, Korg DW-8000, and Alesis Andromeda. Also included are bonus leads and bass presets.
Circuit Damage contains a beautifully flawed collection of carefully curated hardware synthesizers in dire need of repair and calibration. Delightfully unpredictable, Circuit Damage is the perfect collection for creating edgy, vibey synthesizer tracks where grit and chaos add weight and drama.
Ring of Doom is a library of all ring modulation synth sounds with a metallic, robotic quality and even a menacing, sci-fi sound. Ring modulation is a form of amplitude modulation where two signals are combined, and the output is both the sum and difference of their frequencies. The result creates wild sideband frequencies like nothing else.

Swarm features samples of all 22 oscillators from the Norlander Wall of Doom modular Moog synthesizer with both sawtooth and sine wave outputs, and then dynamically detunes them in equidistant intervals to create the haunting and eerie soundscape of dreams and nightmares.
Vector Vision brings vector synthesis to SampleTank in an animated, motion-filled library of presets that recreates the sound of “vector synthesis” made famous by the Sequential Prophet-VS and Yamaha SY22, which were the next generation of wavetable-based synths like PPG Wave and subsequent Waldorf products.
Three More Virtual Instrument Titles
Extraterrestrial Saxophone explores a new sonic universe, combining fascinating saxophone techniques with beautiful analog reverbs and delays. Every sound is originated from different outstanding saxophone techniques, played by Severin Neubauer on baritone and alto sax, to extend the instruments range across the whole keyboard.
Bionic Drums is a special drum library for SampleTank 4 that combines a modern acoustic rock kit with “bionic” layered elements to add the essential point, punch, and girth needed for modern pop, rock, and metal productions. All the essential sounds plus 600+ MIDI patterns are here to cover everything from ’70s disco to modern prog metal.
Syntronik Synth-X is the latest new synth for Syntronik 2 which like all Syntronik instruments works equally as a library inside SampleTank 4. Based on the Elka Synthex, the Italian monster polysynth manufactured in the early ’80s, its wonderful variety of pads, sweeps, leads, and basses makes it a go-to favorite for the world’s most famous synth artists, often fetching well over $10,000 when rare units are up for sale.
Options, pricing, and availability
All eight new SampleTank libraries plus the Mojo Synthesis collection are available now from the IK Multimedia online store and from IK authorized dealers worldwide:
*Pricing excludes taxes
Special Pricing
The SampleTank Squared promotion offers a way to get up to 64 FREE SampleTank libraries and Syntronik 2 instruments. Users can purchase and register up to eight of the new SampleTank libraries, including Syntronik Synth-X and the recently released The Code Vol. 1 & 2, and square that number. That’s how many FREE products can be redeemed of equal or lesser value from a long list of eligible titles.

About Spitfire Audio (www.spitfireaudio.com)
Spitfire Audio is a British music technology company that specialises in sounds — sample libraries, virtual instruments, and other useful software devices. It collaborates with the best composers, artists, and engineers in the world to build musical tools that sound great and are exciting to use.
Spitfire Audio was founded by two award-winning composers: Christian Henson and Paul Thomson. Born out of their shared dissatisfaction for string sample libraries, they pooled their resources and decided to record their own string samples at the legendary Air Studios in London.
The composer team remains at the centre of the business, drawing on their own experience as obsessive music makers to explore the needs and wants of their fellow composers.
London, 1.11.22 – GForce Software are delighted to present Oddity3, a fresh and hugely enhanced rebuild of their much loved, multi-award-winning synth. The original Oddity, along with its successor Oddity2, gained heavy praise from fans and critics alike for incredible accuracy and, in the case of Oddity2, a huge range of additions taking the legendary ARP® Odyssey into previously unrealized audio realms, with some notable users even calling it their desert island synth. Oddity3 retains the fundamental architecture at the heart of previous versions but builds on this in ways that extend its sonic and musical capabilities.
Oddity3 features an improved audio engine, a powerful new Preset Browser, over 250 new presets (plus all the originals), new Distortion and Reverb effects, a Vintage control to add authentic analog imperfections, four programmable Macros, new and improved performance controls along with three new, fully scalable UI designs. This classic desert island synth just got even better.
A Classic Synth For The 21st Century
With the sound and character of the original hardware at its core, Oddity3 gives a classic synth a new lease of life. Authentic models of all three original filters, two syncable oscillators, an accurate recreation of the legendary ring modulator, AR and ADSR envelopes, and much more, we’ve spent countless hours ensuring that Oddity3 still provides a faithful and accurate recreation of one of the most highly revered synths ever.
Over the years we’ve enhanced these original features extensively, adding monophonic and polyphonic playability, a tunable sub-oscillator, our unique X-Modifier technology, onboard effects, and voice panning. Now, Oddity3 adds a raft of new features and improvements – a powerful new Preset Browser, expanded performance controls with programmable Macros, Velocity and Polyphonic Aftertouch, a Vintage knob for adding analog-style imperfections, new Distortion, and Reverb effects, and more. All of this gives Oddity3 an authentic experience that feels at home in a modern setup.
Such are the sonic possibilities of Oddity3, that we’ve had to constantly remind ourselves that this new cinematic incarnation retains, at its heart, the structural design of the original ARP hardware. Oddity3 feels like a brand new synthesizer.” Dave Spiers & Chris Macleod, co-founders of GForce Software Ltd.
Inspiration At The Speed Of Sound
Oddity3 features our brand new Preset Browser, which gives the user the power to organize their sounds any way they want. With extensive tagging, sorting, and search possibilities, it’s now quick and easy to find the perfect preset. Talking of presets, we’ve got them by the bucketload. Firstly, we’ve included 250+ brand new presets created by our team of GForce sound designers, as well as a number of highly-regarded synthesists. You can also access over 1750 legacy presets from Oddity and Oddity2, which have all been categorized and tagged for easy navigation. Finally, we’ve also included 66 presets that we faithfully recreated from original patch books. With a total of over 2000 presets, inspiration is just moments away.
Oddity3 captures the sound of the original hardware while dragging it into the modern world. With such vast modulation possibilities, the scope of what this synth can do is huge, but it still retains that raw, vintage quality. One of my favorite synths just got even better!” Tom Wolfe, Sound Designer.

PRAGUE, CZECH REPUBLIC: independent development teams federation United Plugins is proud to announce the availability of the MasterMind mastering plug-in as its latest release from founding partner SounDevice Digital — duly designed as the fastest route from any mix to mastered destination by taking care of most tasks automatically, allowing anyone to optimize the track being worked on within a matter of seconds, match that track’s EQ with a reference track, and boost the master gain to make the resulting signal sound louder and better… or, better put, simply sound right — as of November 1…
It is fair to say that mastering is sometimes seen as a dark art of sorts when it comes to finalizing the record production process. Put it this way: while mastering makes a great recording truly shine forth for all to hear, that is arguably an overly simplistic statement when taken at face value; after all, what constitutes a genuinely great recording at an artistic level is surely in the ear of the beholder? But what about at a truly technical level? Cost constraints aside, that is arguably a double-barrelled question of (technology available at any given) time and taste. That said, one thing is for sure, though: thanks to an always-widening array of mind-boggling and ear-bending analog and digital technologies, the mastering process is far from simple.
SounDevice Digital’s MasterMind mastering plug-in makes this far-from-simple art so much easier by taking care of most tasks automatically. As such, its OPTIMIZE functionality beats strongly at its helpful heart. Having spent some considerable time researching masses of mastered material, SounDevice Digital developed a specialized algorithm to
make the resulting signal sound richer and better, both from an audio and psychoacoustic standpoint. Simply put, it sounds right. Turning the plug-in’s onscreen optimizer (%) knob controls how much of that specialized algorithm process is instantly and intelligently applied.
It is also fair to say that stereo feel and spatial perception are integral to achieving an accomplished mastered sound, so MasterMind makes it perfectly possible for its users to do just that with one onscreen knob — namely, the self-explanatory stereo width (%) one, which controls the signal-widening level with selectable settings ranging from -100 to +100.
MasterMind’s MATCH functionality facilitates fast-tracking a perfect-sounding EQ-matching application, allowing users to control the level of matching the feel of their favorite reference tracks or, alternatively, unifying the sound of the tracks on their own record production with a few quick clicks — literally load some source material, loop-play it to analyze, then analyze their own material (your track) to enable MasterMind to perform its mindful mastering magic. It is worth noting that setting the onscreen match (%) knob to settings somewhere between 20-30% tends to produce the best results due to the differences between the source and your track material being analyzed.
And speaking of equalization, MasterMind’s EQ section facilitates fine-tuning both the high shelf — freq (kHz) — and low shelf — freq (Hz) — EQ curves of the track being processed in conjunction with their associated gain (dB) controls. By being based on an American analog equalizer’s much-lauded mode, it also provides users with the option of applying some nice-sounding tube saturation, courtesy of the easy-to-use eq tube (%) knob. Thanks to its high-quality audio engine employing up to 16x oversampling, MasterMind makes mindful mastering possible, providing the maximum precision needed to succeed in its musical mission — including, of course, warm-sounding analog-style saturation without digital artifacts.
Meanwhile, MasterMind’s LIMITER section makes mixes sound strong, standing out from the sound of the (mastered) crowd courtesy of a saturation (%) control, which can make the signal sound louder and smoother from a psychoacoustic standpoint, working with self-explanatory gain (dB) and threshold (dB) controls, as well as output ceiling (dB) — controls the sign level after the LIMITER section, thereby determining the plug-in’s maximum reachable level.
Last, but by no means least, MasterMind’s analysis section provides a perfect visual overview of the three stages of its user’s signal so they can not only easily monitor the input and output but also the signal stage between the EQ and limiter, helping them to add even more precision to finalizing the record production process.
Photorealism has been applied to the MasterMind plug-in’s gorgeous GUI (Graphical User Interface), imbuing its users with a feeling that they are touching real-world hardware. However, it easily adapts to their needs since they can always drag the arrow at the bottom-right corner to change its size — smaller to save precious ‘screen estate’ or larger to make it easier on the eye and, as a result, easier to use.
Ultimately, MasterMind provides maximum audio quality by using internal 64-bit audio processing as well as being able to handle any sampling rate — as, indeed, is the case with all plug-ins released under the United Plugins umbrella, so why not try it at 192 kHz… or even higher! Helpfully, the MasterMind plug-in intelligently detects whether it makes sense to perform any processing at all — if not, it temporarily turns on sleep mode, meaning it requires virtually no CPU (Central Processing Unit) power at all, thereby saving computing resources for other processes. Mindful mastering magic abounds otherwise, of course, so feel free to take the fastest route from any mix to mastered destination with its outstanding OPTIMIZE and (EQ) MATCH functionality.
SounDevice Digital’s MasterMind is available to purchase for a time-limited introductory promo price of only €29 EUR until the end of November 2022 — rising thereafter to its regular price of €129.00 EUR — as an AAX-, AU-, VST-, and VST3-compatible plug-in (using internal 64-bit audio processing capable of handling any sample rate) directly from United Plugins here: https://unitedplugins.com/MasterMind/ (A 15-day, fully-functional trial version for macOS 10.10 and newer and Windows 8/10 can be downloaded for free from here: https://unitedplugins.com/download/)

About United Plugins (www.unitedplugins.com)
As implied in the carefully chosen wording for an apt appellation that really represents how the Prague-registered Limited Company came about and what it collectively creates, United Plugins is a federation of small, independent development teams comprised of individuals involved in the music industry. Indeed, the founding triad of FireSonic, JMG Sound, and SounDevice Digital can count engineers, producers, and artists amongst their ‘united’ names. Needless to say, all were seeking the freedom to create the tools that they would like to use in their studios and on their projects. And all agreed that this could be better achieved when working together. Though United Plugins’ proliferating product portfolio may not always be for the musical masses, surely someone, somewhere will always find those tools to be a perfect fit for their own music productions… just like those inventive individuals behind United Plugins’ partner brands, the ranks of which have since swelled to include Muramasa Audio and MeldaProduction. Thanks to the latter letting United Plugins utilize its super-easy licensing system, which is why selected MeldaProduction products are also available from the United Plugins website, a thriving future for the federation is assured.
